Our client’s service department has been growing rapidly. This created a bottleneck in the management structure. Due to this, the senior most leaders were being pulled into day to day management continuously. This meant the business was strong, but they could not spend their time working on the business because they were always working in the business. Due to this, they created a new management role for someone to see to the day to day so that they could focus on strategic growth. This will allow the organization to continue to grow without having the client experience skip a beat.
How did this opportunity help the candidate?
The candidate had been assured of an internal promotion within his previous organization for several years. Despite consistently delivering strong performance and taking on increased responsibility, those promises remained unfulfilled. After more than two years of repeated assurances that ultimately led nowhere, the candidate began to recognize that the advancement opportunities being discussed were largely lip service rather than a concrete path forward.
