The plant manager was wearing too many hats and being stretched thin. He needed another advocate on the floor that can help with improving production and overall morale. Also, this is a Succession planning opportunity as the plant manager will be looking to retire in a year or two.

The candidate had been laid off as part of an acquisition. He was looking to relocate back to Ohio, Kentucky, or the Indiana area. This got him to Kentucky and allowed him to not have to take a pay cut and position him to be able to grow his career as a plant manager in the future.
