How long was client searching prior to our involvement?
They engaged us to fill the search the moment the need arose.
Did client have internal recruiting resources?
They do not have real recruiting resources outside of word of mouth and running an advertisement.
Why was this a real problem for the client?
The second shift required a strong, consistent leader who could restore structure and accountability. Unfortunately, the individual originally placed in the role lacked effective leadership skills, which led to declining morale and growing frustration among employees on the floor. As direction and communication suffered, overall performance and engagement began to slip. To address the issue, management temporarily assigned another employee to fill the leadership gap. While this person helped stabilize the situation, the temporary assignment pulled them away from their primary responsibilities, negatively impacting their own work and creating strain elsewhere. It became clear that a long-term solution was needed to ensure both strong leadership on second shift and minimal disruption to other critical roles.
How did this opportunity help the candidate?
The candidate experienced a reduction in hours at their previous employer due to a downturn in business, which was unrelated to their performance. As a result, they sought a more stable, full-time opportunity that would better utilize their skills and provide long-term career security. This transition not only allowed the candidate to return to consistent full-time employment, but also offered an opportunity to grow professionally within a larger organization. The role positions the candidate to develop leadership and operational experience with a clear pathway toward advancement into plant management, aligning both their career goals and the company’s long-term needs.
