They had been through 3 HR managers in 3 years since their HR Manager of more than 20 years retired. They had bad hires and people underqualified for the job. Their most recent HR Manager was out of the office a lot and not visible to the team. This was hurting employee retention, recruiting, and structure.
How did this opportunity help the candidate?
The candidate’s company was recently sold to a private equity firm who was moving things around and he felt that his position was in jeopardy. While we were in the interview process, he was laid off and only had to spend about 3 weeks unemployed and was able to start before his severance ran out. He also got to stay local.
