Why was this a real problem for the client?

Our client has built a satellite team in a semi-remote area to take on a state-of-the-art facility build. They were approaching the commissioning portion of the first phase and needed a commissioning specialist who could bridge the gap in their team between the client, the technicians & programmers, and the Project Manager. This can be a challenging person to find in general. When you add in the fact that this part of the country is semi-remote and only has a handful of BAS Contractors and Commissioning firms to recruit from, finding the right individual becomes that more challenging.

How did this opportunity help the candidate?

The candidate has spent 10+ years in the field on the BAS, Electrical, and Controls sides of the facility construction space. He had assumed the position of commission manager and Project Manager numerous times and had been promised the promotion. After 3 instances where his organization promised this, then reneged… he was losing faith that his organization would ever allow him the chance to move up. This opportunity allows him to take on the opportunity he has been looking forward to for years.
