Company Description
National Building Automation Integrator
Job Title
Critical Facilities Technician
How long was client searching prior to our involvement?
6 months
Did client have internal recruiting resources?
Yes, the client has an internal recruitment team that we work alongside.
Why was this a real problem for the client?
This region is a historically challenging market to recruit in. The organization had been interviewing and attempting to fill this need for 6+ months and ultimately, temporarily relocated members of their team halfway across the country to appropriately staff the team. These temporary individuals were scheduled to return home at the end of Q2. This meant that the team would need to find the right local talent to fulfill the needs so that the temporary team could return home as scheduled.
How did this opportunity help the candidate?
The candidate had grown an interest in the Building Automation System space over a 20-year career on the owner side of the business. He was pursuing training and learning opportunities through his own means and was eager to transition from the owner side of the business to the integrator side and master the controls space. This said, he could not find a local organization that found value in this skillset or would compensate him at the same level that he was accustomed to while he came up to speed. This opportunity allows him to learn more, be mentored by a team of BAS industry veterans, and not take a pay cut as he develops his skillset.
