Privately Held Commercial Mechanical Contractor
How long was client searching prior to our involvement?
Did client have internal recruiting resources?
Why was this a real problem for the client?
Even amidst the pandemic, our client has been growing by leaps and bounds. Their backlog is up by 50% year over year. This was creating a scenario where their Construction Manager was fulfilling both his role and the role of a dedicated Project Manager. This dynamic is deemed unacceptable as the organization values their employee’s wellbeing and they did not want their current team to “burn out”. Thusly, they needed to find the right individual who could take over the project management responsibilities of the backlog and alleviate the stress on the current team.
How did this opportunity help the candidate?
The candidate was included in a corporate furlough that began when the pandemic hit. He was under the impression that all commercial/institutional contractors in the area where experiencing the same issues as his previous company and he was debating taking an early retirement. When he learned of this opportunity, he realized that some organizations have derived ways to thrive and grow through the current adversity of the world. This rekindled his interest in the industry and he is now in a position where he is valued. In this role he can also impart his wealth of knowledge in the industry to a new generation of project management professionals in the industry.
