Our client had an existing Sales Manager for the business that had been in place for nearly 4 years. This individual did not come from the packaging industry and very little effort was being expended to bring in new business or growing existing accounts. This hire allowed them to bring in someone with familiarity in the corrugated industry who understood the customer base and capabilities much better than the previous manager.
How did this opportunity help the candidate?
The candidate we found had sold to the corrugated industry and worked in the industry, selling corrugated products. He was in a position most recently where he was selling light bulbs to other industrial manufacturing companies. He was very passionate about packaging but the market was limited for other packaging companies. Our employer interviewed him immediately once we found and moved him quickly through the process.
