Leaving the role vacant was unsustainable. The lack of a dedicated maintenance leader placed stress on operations, increased the risk of burnout for the Operations Manager, and threatened overall plant efficiency. The client needed a proven leader with the right technical background and stability to restore balance quickly.

The candidate became available after a large reduction at the paper mill where he worked, when a new manager eliminated several engineering positions.
