Our client was stuck in a challenging spot dealing with several retirements at their mill.  Given the mill was located in a very rural area, there were no local options and a large majority of candidates we talked to had no interest in relocating, at least to that area.  They also had several ambitious employees that wanted to gain experience in other areas of the mill.  Our candidate made it possible for someone to progress their career a step further.

How did this opportunity help the candidate?

Our candidate is an avid boater, snow-mobile rider and general outdoorsman. He and his wife had been looking to start the final chapter in their lives by moving towards a retirement home further up North. The mill we placed him at was located up North around a number of lakes and snow trails. In addition, the mill he came from was dealing with number of changes with the management team. They had just made cuts to his maintenance staff and a lot of the remaining work fell on his shoulders. This opportunity eliminated that feeling of uncertainty he had going forward.
