This particular location operated with department managers and hourly shift leads. There was no layer of management in between the two which made it difficult to hold individuals accountable to facility goals. The department managers were spread extremely thin and doing multiple jobs, which ended up taking its toll on their personal and professional lives.
How did this opportunity help the candidate?
The candidate we identified was topped out in his current position as Production Supervisor. He was working off-shift and had a very long commute. We introduced him as a Production Supervisor, but our client realized that he had leadership potential, so they offered him the Production Manager job. This got him back working dayshift and allowed him to move onto an exciting new challenge.
