Without an experienced Account Manager in place, the business unit would not be well positioned to meet its growth objectives.

How did this opportunity help the candidate?

The candidate was not actively seeking a new role, but he was experiencing frustrations in his previous role due to heavy weekly travel requirements and limited project execution capabilities of his previous employer. The career change significantly reduced his travel, but more importantly surrounded him with stronger technical resources and the ability to gain much greater exposure to more complex projects, which provides him the opportunity to accelerate his technical skill development.
