Our Client is currently the Hiring/Operations Manager of the business. He was also personally overseeing 50% of the organization’s backlog. Due to this, he was working anywhere from 60-80 hours per week, trying to keep up on both responsibilities. This position will report directly to him and help to run the project portfolio that he is currently managing. By adding this individual, the Hiring/Operations Manager will now be able to have a better work/life balance and see his family more.
How did this opportunity help the candidate?
The candidate is a degreed engineer who has been in the plan and spec side of the business for the majority of his career. He had grown tired of the plan and spec world and wanted to expand his skill set/knowledge base into the owner-direct side of the business, focusing on design build work. This opportunity allows him to work under a P.E. on Design Build work, qualify and test for his P.E. certification and get more exposure to the heavy-applied side of the business.
