Why was this a real problem for the client?
Vacant position for nearly a year within a Regional Independent Corrugated Manufacturer. Due to highly competitive market and relatively high cost of living it was very difficult for our client to attract top talent for their multi-site Maintenance Management role. After dissecting the local Corrugated market, we offered up market knowledge as well as the idea that some of truly top maintenance professionals come from outside their own industry. In doing so, we identified the food processing industry to have some of the top Maintenance and Reliability professionals that had a transferable skill set that could benefit our client.
How did this opportunity help the candidate?
For the candidate, he was commuting over an hour and a half each way every day which was not ideal for him and his family. The candidate also shared with us that there was a bit of glass ceiling within his organization due to the current infrastructure. In this placement, we were able to get him working within 15 minutes of his home and working with an organization that would find value in his skill set which would allow him to see career growth in his first two years of employment.
